Re: FormatControl for new form

Hello

for this, did you create the Format Control of the form manually or did you made thru the option in Form Designer to create the FC.

as well, is the FC created part of the module(table) that you want.

BR!

Re: FormatControl for new form

In fact i dont remember that, but i think i pressed right button on FORM and choose FC.

Ok. I deleted FC and created it again from FORM.

For FORM and created FC i did not set file name.

Re: FormatControl for new form

There is master FC  -> for table device (named device)

and other for this table but based on FORM - configurationItem.g

For some users, based on role, in DS set to open newone form MyForm_1

And now i need FC for this my form, but look likes this FC do not starts (FC was create by pressing right button on FORM and take FC)

May be such forms called from DS also need to be pointed for FC for it ?

Re: FormatControl for new form

Hm... it's strange.

There is a master FC - device and form FC - configurationItem

And for DS (am.display.joinfile) i add condition to open my new form (MyForm) if operator have capability word:

(if (index("CapWord1", $lo.ucapex)>0) then ($L.format="MyForm"))

And Add new FC for this new form (MyForm) - but it is not work.

  • For the test i added same line for FC Validation for configurationItem and MyForm (differ only texts messages)
  • So enter into form (as operator with needed capability word) - for reliability use RAD debugger:

d $L.format - and get MyForm

  • Update record and get message from Validations for FC for configurationItem
