HP SM 9.4 problem connecting to SQL2014

Jump to solution

Has anyone encountered an issue with installing HP SM with SQL2014?

In the smconfig.log, there are some messages such as the following

[Microsoft][ ODBC Driver Manager] Data Source Name not found and no default driver specified

I've added both 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server and SQL Server Native Client 11.0 to system DSN..  Anyone know what else to try?

Thanks,

JC

Hi,

You need to use 32 bit ODBC driver, you cna find same with name odbcad32.exe placed uder: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64

Create a ODBC connector for needed DB, mention same in sm.ini file and try to run the sm service again.

Hope this help

When you added 32-bit ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server and SQL Server Native Client 11.0 to system DSN, did you use
odbcad32.exe from: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64 ?
