HP SM Web Services and SOAPui issue

Jump to solution

Hello experts,

I am trying to use SOAPui to integrate HP SM with external product through Web Services. When I'm trying to add new project with my wsdl I get an error:

Error loading [http://sm.server.org:13081/SM/7/IncidentManagement.wsdl]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: error: does not close tag .

 Does anyone encountered such errors while working with SOAPui?

Thank you.

Regards.

Hi t0Neg,

Not sure whether you are having problem accessing the wdsl or incomplete xml as I cannot see if you have these preceeding error messages:

Failed to load url [http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime]

ERROR:Loading of definition failed for [http://sm.server.org:13081/SM/7/IncidentManagement.wsdl]:

I'll assume it's access issue as that's the most common one.

Sometimes it's the proxy or firewall but here's some suggestions which will get around both as you grab the files via a browser and save it to your drive C and then access these files directly instead.

1. Save the WSDL file to the root of your C: drive (you can use IE to open and save)

2. Save the common.xsd file to the root of your C: drive (Use IE to accesss the URL and save. i.e http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime. Check the url if it's newer than my example)

3. Save the xmlmime file to the root of your C: drive (The xmlmime file to be as "xmlmime" not "xmlmime.xsd".)

4. Modify the lines in the WSDL file as follows:

<xs:import namespace="xmlmime" schemaLocation="xmlmime" />

<xs:import

namespace="http://schemas.hp.com/SM/7/Common"schemaLocation="Common.xsd" />

Notes:

The first line is an example with both properties changed and the second line only changes the schemaLocation property.

Hi Jas,

Thank you for help. You are right and your solution really helped. Although I can access all those files from my browser, SOAPui could not access them probably. I've done like you wrote and loaded wsdl without any errors.

Hi Brav0,

Make sure you have the right capability given to the user in hpsm - like SOAP capability word etc.

The user is having SOAP API capability  and I am able to successfully access it via the browser.
