Here is how we did it in 9.40 without using Connect-It

Go to System Administration > Ongoing Maintenance > System > LDAP Mapping

Fill in the "LDAP Server" and the "LDAP Base Directory" fields and check the "LDAP SSL?" box.  Save

Click the Set File/Field Level Mapping button

In the "Name" field, type operator and click Search

You are on the "HP Service Manager LDAP Mapping - File/Field Level Specifications" page.

NAME = operator

Fill in "LDAP Server", "LDAP Port" "LDAP SSL DB Path" "LDAP Base Directory" "LDAP Additional Query".

Check the "LDAP SSL?" box

At the bottom in the white table where you have two columns: "Field Name" and "LDAP Attribute Name" scroll down until you see the Field name "name".  type sAMAccountName in the LDAP Attribute Name field

save.

This will map the "name" field from the operator table to the sAMAccountName in Active Directory.

My requirement is to get the data from AD to HPSM (contacts, operators) and then to do the atuhentication using AD credentials for HPSM login.
