How to configure a display name for email messages sent from Service Manager

Jump to solution
Currently, all email messages from service manager are showing as from the email address configured in scsmtp.ini file for "smtpuser". Is there some way to provide a friendly display name along with the email address?

Let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

I had been wondering the same thing. Support told that you cannot configure the name. You might consider an enhancement request.

Hi Cristopher,
Can you elaborate your question clearly as far as i understand from your question is that you are asking about changing the mail domain is it?

No, I'm not looking to change the domain or anything like that. What's happening is that when I receive email messages from Service Manager, the sender appears as the full SMTP address (i.e. servicemanager@computershare.com).

I would like to be able to configure a "display name" of Service Manager for emails that are sent from SM.

Other tools I have give you the ability to provide a "display name" in addition to the full SMTP address.
