How to generate alerts for "device"

Hi experts, I need to generate an alert for Device.

When the field "Date of Lending" of a device is modified must send a mail 2 hrs before to "Date of Lending.

Re: How to generate alerts for "device"

Greetings.

Can you point at what do you mean with "Device", where is located? Also where is located "Date of Lending"? Please send screenshots.

Re: How to generate alerts for "device"

Hi Jonny, thanks for answering.

We need to generate an alert when the "date of loan" is added to CI.
The idea would be as follows:
1. Find the CI "notebook-001".
2. Find the field "Loan from" and "Loan to" here we enter dates:
     a. from: "01/04/2016 10:00:00"
     b. to: "04/15/2016 10:00:00"
    Save the CI.
3. Then should generate an alert for 12hrs before date "Loan to" get an email to the owner of the CI.

tks

Re: How to generate alerts for "device"

Hi,
You may also check if it can be archieved using a triggers "after update" plus a JS inside the trigger to create a notification record.

Now the question is how often that field will be updated ?

Re: How to generate alerts for "device"

Francis Fugue, thank you very much.
Frequency? that depends on "CI", but is likely to be 1 time per month.

JS?

How I call an alert from JS? What are the parameters?
