How to get a notification, whether the scheuler got ran successfully or not in Service Manager

Hi Experts,

We are importing records from other tool to service manager through text files using Text import wizard calling from schedulers. (Automated for every 30 minutes).

SOmetime due to some issues, scheduler fails to run. as it is 30 mins scheduler it is very difficult to check whether it got processed succesfully or not. Is there any way to send mail to us whenever it gets failed? or is there any easy way to track that?

Any Suggestion are highly appreciated.

Do you get any error message in sm.log file ? What exactly happens when the import fails ? Does the schedule record get the Status "application failed due to error - check msglog for possible messages" ?

Yes, When it fails i could see the satatus as "application failed due to error - check msglog for possible messages". Instead of checking manually in scheduler, need it in a automated way.

Check the schedule table is a daily administrative activity... anyway, a simple one is add the code to send mail in the trigger after update, checking by this status.. application failed...
an more elegant solution is create a custom system status with administrative info about SM that counts this kind of info and present it for you.. then you can even have it as your main land page:)
you can also have sessions, records on eventout, msglog, agent status, etc

Thank You, For the First point, You mean,  in script area of (Trigger), We need to call script Library which will send email after update, if it finds "application errror...". Please correct me if I am wrong.

Could you please explain little bit more on second point creating Custom sysytem status with any example?
