How to make other knowledge bases available for search by ESS users

Hi

I have installed default Knowledge management on SM 9.5 and I noticed that on the ESS portal it only allows search of the Knowledge Library. The other checkboxes do not display as they do in the normal operator ui. What steps do I need to take to make interactions knowledge base available to select for searh and grant access to self service user on the ESS page?
