HP SD Server is not officially supported on XP - it works for demo purposes but really you should be thinking "server" - 2003.

Client on XP is no problem.

App. Server makes TCP/IP connections (multi-threads) to your DB on another machine, you just edit the Server Settings when you install App. Server.

hi!

You can install SD on Xp, but, if it is a live setup and lot of clients are connecting, the BEST way is to go for a Server OS.

After you install the App Server, you can find a DB connection wizard, which will help you to connect to DB.

Pls let me know, if you need any screen shots and futher help.
