Increase Subject field in Notify Option

Jump to solution

Hi Experts.

Trying to increase the Subject field in the notify option but when we are using more than 90 chars the email sent is incomplete.

in dbdict mail I have increased the subject field to VARCHAR(250) so the issue must be happening when it is transferred to eventout but can't see where or what is happening.

Anybody else done this successfully?

Have you recycled your system since making the dbdict changes?

When a user (including background processes) log in to HPSM, they get they'r own cache of the dbdict for the system.  If you make a change to the dbdict, a user won't get those changes until after they log out and log back in.  In the case of background schedulers that start on startup of the system, a recycle is the easiest way to make sure they pick up the changes.

If that's not possible, then in the System Status, you need to kill the background processes that handle notifications.  Usually that's the problem processes.

But I recommend a recycle.

Thnx.
