Issue with affected.item query in Link

Jump to solution

Hi Experts,

I have created a new device type. Now I want to assign the created device type to the affected.item(affected services) in the IM.open.incident and IM.update.incident.

I have tried editing the Links: incidents, probsummary, IM.open.incident

Edited the query for affected.item as follows

=============================================================================

if ($fill.skip.master=true) then ($fill.skip=true;cleanup($fill.skip.master))
$query="device.type=\"new_service\""
if (not null(affected.item in $File)) then $query+=(" and logical.name#\""+affected.item in $File+"\"")

=============================================================================

While filing up the affected Service field the search option displays the services related to the newly created device type. However while saving the incident page, I am getting an error that says "Please Provide a valid Service"

I know that I have to edit the affected.item query, however I am confused which link to edit.

Please help me. Its quite a bit urgent.

Thanks

Sanjeev
