Making all fields grayed out(non-editable) during the Authorization phase in change

Jump to solution

Good evening experts,

I have a question to ask. Is there a way to make all fields uneditable during the Authorization phase? They can only be edited by the Change Manager or System Admin?

What is happening is when a change has been approved a user might go back and change the date. I want to make sure that we prevent this from happening.

If you're in 9.3x (without Process Designer) or earlier version of HPSM, you can set this in the Phase Definition record for the Authorization phase.

Menu Navigation -> Changes -> Change Phases.  Select your Authorization phase, and in the first panel (the 'Definition' tab) set the Update condition to:

$lo.ucapex isin {"SysAdmin", "ChMAdmin"}

Hi Atyler,

Could you please mention whcih mode and version of HP SM for next questions to allow the users to help you with accurate solution

any way :

if codeless mode :

1- Open Workflow that  needs update.

2- Select the phase that you need to limit access (Editing).

3- put your Form Editing Codition.

see attached screenshot.

if Classic mode :

1- Open form format control

2- select privilge

3- write your conditions

Thanks,

I believe that we are talking about the condition in the FD, the date field is not editable if the status is approved.
