Manage Favorite - Hide/remove gear Icon on web client

Jump to solution

gear.png

The gear icon is sending my users into the edit view form (inbox.view). I can't have that and I don't see how to disable or hid it (9.31 app 9.35 web). Found one post telling me to edit the systext table but the Fav/dashboard are fine, it's the edit I can't have. they are overwriting global views and making a mess of my system. 😞

Web.xml change. doc is for 9.40 but my xml has the parm.

<context-param>
  <param-name>showFavMgrButton</param-name>
  <param-value>true</param-value>
</context-param>
