Need to Upgrade Service Manager 9.40 to Service Manager 9.60

Hi Experts,

Have few basic queries about Upgrade,

1) Is it possible to upgrade directly from SM 9.40 Codeless to SM 9.60 Codeless (without upgarding to SM9.50/SM9.51)?

2) We have perpetual license for SM9.40, do we need to get new license if we upgrade to SM 9.60 ? or any other extra cost charges applicable?

3) We are not using Service Manager Service Portal, Incase if we want to use, do we need any other license apart from perpetual license of SM9.40?

4) Whatever features/enhancements availble in SM 9.50/5.1/5.2, all those will be available in 9.60 along with new features in SM 9.60?

Below are the answers that could help.

Yes, You can upgrade directly from 9.40 to 9.60.

2) We have perpetual license for SM9.40, do we need to get new license if we upgrade to SM 9.60 ? or any other extra cost charges applicable?

No. Additional Licenses required for upgrading to the new version.

3) We are not using Service Manager Service Portal, Incase if we want to use, do we need any other license apart from perpetual license of SM9.40?

It depends on your current license. Please contact the MicroFocus Support to get the confirmation based on your license.

4) Whatever features/enhancements availble in SM 9.50/5.1/5.2, all those will be available in 9.60 along with new features in SM 9.60?

It depends on what licenses that you have and what features you would like to use.

For example, you can use the smart email and sm collobaration. But features like chat bot will not work if you dont have Smart Analytics license.

As of now the latest version is 9.61 . Check the below product documentation to get more details.

If we want to install and use the SM Mobile Aplication Client, Do we need any additional License or what kind of license should we contain?

Service Manager 9.60 does not have native mobile application. You need to use the Mobility (Web based) to use it in mobile application. This does not require any additional license.
