New install SM 9.34 PD4

Jump to solution

I'm installing a new server with SM 9.34 PD4.

  1. Install SM 9.30
  2. Upgrade to 9.34 930
  3. Application install 9.34
  4. PD4 to install SM 9.34

All perfect with no errors.

Then when you want to close an interaction I have no closure codes.

In frmat "SD.interaction.close" the variable that is complete codes: "$G.resolution.code.selection" but this does not exist in "global list"

Some know it can be?

Did you complete conflict resolution as part of your application upgrade?

After applying PD4, did you:

1) enable PD for Helpdesk

2) run the migration utilty to convert all sample records to PD-aligned records?

I normally use the following path to configure a PD system:

1. Install 9.30.

2. Patch to 9.31 (PD4 was built against a 9.31 system).

3. Apply PD4 and enable. Migrate records.

4. Apply latest patch release (e.g. 9.34)

By following the release order there are almost no conflicts to resolve.

John,

thank you very much for the tip.
I had no point 1), but is already done.

2) run the migration utilty to convert all sample records to PD-aligned records?

How and where you run the "migration utilty"?

The documents for enabling PD and migrating existing records are all available  at hpln.hp.com (Live Network).

The migration guide is attached.

John, thank you very much for the comment.
We managed to get the "closure codes", but when categorize an "interaction" gives us the following error:

10/08/14 12:34:58

No link exists for this field, fill function cannot be performed.

Any suggestions?

Are you using the OOB forms and links?

Have you updated workflows to use your legacy forms?

What field is generating the error (what level of categorization are you trying to fill)?
