[Online Expert Day] How to replicate Format Control Query functionality in Process Designer

Jump to solution

I am trying to determine how to replicate Format Control Query functionality in Process Designer.  Specifically, I have a format control calculation that sets the language field equal to a value looked up by a query.  How can I accomplish this?

Calculation:  language in $file=nullsub(language in $file4, "en")

Queries:

Filename = contacts

Query = contact.name=requested.by in $file

Can't you just create an JS RS to fix it?

I.e

var c = new SCFile("contacts");
var s = "contact.name=\"" + record.contact_name +"\"";

if (c.doSelect(s) == RC_SUCCESS) {

record.language = c.language;

}

.. or similar?

Yes, that should work.  I just wanted to make sure I was not overlooking a better option.

Thanks for the input.
