Hi Rima,

It will work for a user role not for an assignment group.

in an assignment group there will be users of diffrent user role.

Thanks

The "Open New Incident" button can be deactivated in the "Incident Management Security Profile" of the operator.

How to get there:

1. System Administratrion - Ongoing Maintenance - Operators

2. Search for one operator

3. Put the cursor to field "Incident Profile"

4. Press "Find" to display the Incident Profile record

5. On tab Security - Rights set the flag "New" to false.

See online help on field:

If selected (set to true), enables members of this profile to open new Incident tickets.

Save the profile.

If all members of that profile should not be allowed to open new incidents, you can modify the profile.

If this is not the case, you need to create a new profile for that operators with restricted rights.

To find out which operators belong to one assignment group,  check the assignment group:

System Administration - Ongoing Maintenance - Groups - Incident Management Assignment Groups

I hope, that helps.

Best regards,

Heike
