Regarding HP Service Manager future

As HP selling its software division to Microfocus, will HP Service Manager be owned by HPE or Micro Focus ?

If you want a better view into the deal, please check the HPE's blog post below and the section "Transaction by numbers". It says "HPE shareholders expected to own 50,1% of the combined company".

It also gives a good impression of the software assets the "new" Micro Focus will own. Service Manager and Service Anywhere are also listed as items included in the sale.

I think the paragraph from the announcement leaves no room for speculation: even ITSM is not mentioned as an asset, I'd say it is part of the deal.

"The combination of these software assets -- which includes HPE's Application Delivery Management, Big Data, Enterprise Security, Information Management & Governance and IT Operations Management businesses..."

Technically, the software assets seem to be 50,1% _controlled_ by HPE. HPE spun off the software assets and merged it with assets of a Micro Focus. As a result, majority of shares of "new" Micro Focus will be owned by HPE. How long, is another question.
