Re: SM 9.33 upgrade to 9.40

Keep in mind that if you have installed any Process Designer content packs, you must fully convert to PD for all modules when upgrading to 9.40. If you have not added any PD content packs, you can use classic mode in 9.40 (traditional tailoring).

9.41 allows you to upgrade in "Hybrid Mode", it  allows you to stage the migration to PD by initally giving you the option to deploy workflows that leverage your existing forms and controls (e.g. format control).

 Hi John,

Thanks for the reply,

Current version of SM9.33 we are not using PD and content packs. We are using format control and all.The setup we have is moreelse OOB installation.. You have any documentation of the migration.

Re: SM 9.33 upgrade to 9.40

hi Tom,

Did you get the documentation for this upgrade? The SM9.40 oob is "codeless" implementation, which has the process designer built into the product. If you want to upgrade to this version you will need to install PDCP4 before upgrading.

You can also upgrade to SM9.40 "classic" without process desginer.

The HPE support site has an interactive upgrade guide which will help you with different combinations and you can print the documentation that is tailored to your need.

Hope this helps,

RB
