SM 9.4 - how to populate a field with the old value?

I would like to the document the value of a field after the record is saved. I have a field called network_name and old_network_name. When someone changes network_name and saves the record, I want the original value to be populated to old_network_name. Is this possible?

You can add a calculation to the formatctrl, to say (on update):

Condition: network.name in $file~=network.name in $file0

Calculation: old.network.name in $file=network.name in $file0
