(SM) Support Tip: How to export Oracle Service Manager Schema for troubleshooting using datapump?

You need to export only the SM schema and not sys export for troubleshooting /or sharing the database with HP support. Following are the steps to export SM schema named SM9 and username SM

  • > expdp SM DIRECTORY=dpump_dir DUMPFILE=expdat.dmp SCHEMAS=SM9

This results in a schema-mode export in which the schemas, SM9 will be written to the expdat.dmp dump file located in thedpump_dir directory.

 Restrictions

  • If you do not have the DATAPUMP_EXP_FULL_DATABASE role, then you can specify only your own schema.

  • The SYS schema cannot be used as a source schema for export job.
