SM Web-Tier Version Information

Hey guys,

 

Is there a way to determine what version/patch of the SM Web-Tier has been installed on the server?

Hi Michael

The Service Manager (SM) server and Windows client version can be known by the following steps.


1. SM Windows Client version

     a.Start Windows Client

     b.Help > About HP Service Manager client

2. Sm Server Runtime version   

 a. By Windows client menu
            1. Start Windows client
             2.Help > About HP Service Manager

   b. By the version information record
       1. Start Windows Client
        2. Menu Navigation > System Administration > Base System Congiguration > Monitoring > Version Information

       Application version and RTE version are displayed.

   c. By the command

C:\Program Files\HP\Service Manager 9.21\Server\RUN>sm -version
----HP Service Manager Version/Environment Details-----
  Executable name: sm
          Version: 9.21.030
            Build: 030
      System name: 13080
       System key: 0x784DFB00
    Hardware type: PC (x86 32-bit)
 Network hostname: xxxxxxxxxxx
  Network address: xx.xx.xx.xx
 Operating system: Windows Server 2003 R2, Enterprise Edition SP2
       OS version: 5.2 Build 3790

3. SM Server application version

   a. By the version information record
         1.start Windows Client

          2.Menu Navigation > System Administration > Base System Congiguration > Monitoring > Version Information

     Application version and RTE version are displayed.

   b. By the command

C:\Program Files\HP\Service Manager 9.21\Server\RUN>sm -appversion
 Application Version: 9.20.000

 

4. SM Server Webtier version

.    a. Open URL http://<webserver>/<sm_deployment_dir>/index.do
     b. Click the hp logo at the left upper

or

     a. Open URL http://<webserver>/<sm_deployment_dir>/cwc/about.jsp

or

     a. On file level: Go to ..\Apache Software Foundation\<Tomcat version>\webapps\<sm_deployment_dir>\META-INF\maven\com.hp.ov.sm.client\webtier\ and open file 'pom.xml'
