(SP/Propel) Support Tip: When we click on Shop icon, we get message 'There are no items to display'

ISSUE:

When we click on Shop icon, we get a message 'There are no items to display’

Environment

    SM 9.5X with Smart Analytics installed.

    SMSP 9.51

     SMSP is integrated with SM

After rebooting the servers where SMSP is installed we get the message 'There are no items to display’ when click on the Shop icon. We are able to aggregated the item from Service Manager and publish it in SMSP but in shop there is still no item.

To fix this issue, follow the below four steps.

STEP 1 Check the /opt/hp/SmartAnalytics/IDOL/license.log file

If license logs shows the below message

This is a known issue related to IDOL license and follow the below the KM related to this to fix license issue.

STEP 2 Check and Make sure that Content-SMSP is listening in Smart Analytics on port 10020 – 10022 and port is not occupied.

   netstat -ano | grep 10020

   netstat -ano | grep 10022

STEP 3 we need to Clean up Content-SMSP

  1. A) Login to Machine where Smart Analytics installed.
  2. B) Navigate to the path \HPE\Service Manager 9.5X\SmartAnalytics\Content-SMSP on the command prompt and run the command dir

  1. C) To cleanup Content-SMSP

Take a backup of Content-SMSP folder

Then remove all folders under SA\Content-SMSP except license and uid

Remove all *.lck and *.str files

Then start or restart service HPESMSmartAnalyticsSMServicePortalContent

We need to make all the Smart Analytics service is up and running before we do the next step related to reindexing.

STEP 4 Login to SMSP and navigate to the path

cd /opt/hp/propel/catalog

Run the below command to reindex the catalog

java -jar lib/catalog.jar reindex

Once this is done, you will see all the catalog item in the shop.
