Save actions are slow: I/O exception, Connection refused: connect

Jump to solution

We see this error message several times in the log for each save:
I/O exception (java.net.ConnectException) caught when processing request: Connection refused: connect

Example: adding a journaled update to an Incident takes 40 seconds.

Theory: can not connect to database before after several retries.

Commiting save action at 16:23:22, gets stored at16:24:05. See attachment Skjermbilde.png.

Could part of your Knowledgebase Infrastructure be down?  Check to make sure all servers and process are up and running.

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Googling that error brought me to this article:

There were some issues with Knowledge Engine. When communication was restored, the SM application worked at full speed again. Thanks.
