Service Manager 9.51 Technical Questions

Jump to solution

Dear All,

We are currently using HP Service Manager 9.40 Classic Mode(Without Process Designer) and planning to upgrade it to version 9.51.

Has anyone tried upgarde from SM classic mode to SM 9.51 ? If yes, we would like to know outcomes on below points.

1). Can we install SM 9.51 in classic mode i.e. without process designer mode enabled ?

2). Can we use SMSP without process designer mode enabled in HP Service Manager ?

3). If we install SM 9.50 and upgrade it to 9.51, does process designer gets activated automatically ?

Regards,

Below are the response to all my queries.

1. Classic mode is not supported in 9.50/9.51, only hybrid and codeless.

2. As there is no ‘classic’ option for SM 9.50, this isn’t plausible.

3. PD gets activated with 9.50, still you can use the hybrid option, for further information you can check the upgrade guide shared below.
