Hey experts,
I have an issue while setti g up connection to change wsdl in soap ui. I tried to follow the steps in one of the forum post

as the error behavior is exactly the same as described in that post, still no luck. Your guidance is really appreciated to Resolve

Re: Soap ui issue

You should change only the schemaLocatoin, leave the namespace as http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime;
An workaround I use when dealing with SOAP ui is access from IE the address: http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime and then try to create the SOAP UI project from WSDL.. for some reason it works, I believe IE caches it and SOAP UI get access to it.

Re: Soap ui issue

Thank you for the reply breno

It errors out even after suggested changes.

Changes which I had made,

1. Dowloaded the xml file for xmlmime

2. saved in the c drive as 'xmlmime.xml'

3.Changed the schemaLocation = "c:\xmlmime.xml"

4. loaded the wsdl on SOAP UI

Got the error as

Error loading File :\c:\xmlmime.xml : org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException:

java.io.CharConversionException: Character larger than 4 bytes are not supported:byte 0xa9 implies a length of more than 4 bytes.

Now as per your suggestion, i tried to access the URL of xmlmime and then loaded the wsdl,  got the error as

Error loading [ http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime]"org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: java.net.UnknownHostException:www.w3.org

Re: Soap ui issue

I asked Mr Google about your error message. It could be due to Soap UI issue. Have a look at http://www.techsnib.com/2015/08/error-loading-wsdl-characters-larger.html. Maybe it can help.

Re: Soap ui issue

Thank you Jas for the reply.

I have entered the parameter , now the schema location is set as "xmlmime.xml" , now when the wsdl is loaded, it gives the error as

Error loading [ http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime]: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: java.net.UnknowHostException:www.w3.org

Re: Soap ui issue

Ok so it seems you have a very restricted network environment. If possible do as following, save the WSDL and send to a machine with direct access to internet, no proxy and whatever; load it, create the project in SOAP UI, export it and send it back to your restricted environment and load it in the SOAP UI.

Re: Soap ui issue

Thank you for reply Breno.

I have SOAP UI installed locally in my machine and I am able to access the url from my browser.

I tried to specify proxy settings specifically for SOAP ui , that too didnt help.

The wsdl file and the xmlmime xml file is also saved locally to my c drive , but somehow whatever I do , i get the error mentioned in my last post.
