Special characters at the start of scmessage messages

Jump to solution

Hello all,

I need to add several messages to the scmessage table that start with the character <. Unfortunately it seems that this is not possible. HPSM always leaves these out and only saves the string without the <-character.

Is there any way to get this to work?

Thanks!

hmm.

You can do one thing here, use the RAD debugger to input the value.
First open the debugger and open that particular scmessage record for which you want to add desired text, now in command line of debugger (bottom of window) type command :: x message in $L.file="<message"
now click on save and you would be able to edit and save text forever with any symbol.

hth,

If your query has been answered then better mark solution as accepted as it will help others to easily identify the resolution.
