Specify a port for specific users after load balancing

Jump to solution

Below I set the loadBalancer under sm.cfg

Sm -loadBalancer  -httpPort:13080 -restaccessviabrowser:1
Sm -loadBalancer  -httpPort 13080 -restaccessviabrowser:1
Sm -loadBalancer  -httpPort 13080 -restaccessviabrowser:1

According to the principle, after all end users log in from port 13080, 13080 is the main port of loadBalancer, so the system
Will lead the user to 13081, 13082, 13083

This loadBalancer setting, is there a way to exclude a certain port?
For example, after the end user logs in from port 13080, 13080 is the main port of loadBalancer, which will direct the user to 13081, 13083, and exclude port 13082.

You are after the parameter debugnode:1.

Have a look here https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Service_Manager:9.63/RunningWebServicesOnDedicatedPortServlet

It gives a good example for separating normal users transactions from webservices transactions used for integrations. Or for debugging.

This is a good way for specific users to log in to specific ports.

By the way, is it possible for a particular user to be managed and assigned to a specific port?

That would be perfect

No such functionality but you can propose it as an idea at the Ideas Exchange forum.

A simple non technical way would be to set a servlet and only tell that particular user the port number and no other users.
