Tayloring Adobe Flex Component

Is it possible to taylor Adobe Flex components? For example, customer doesn't want "Pager" option to appear as Preferred Method of Contact when a request is submitted.

The list of notification methods is hard coded in SRC and cannot be tailored in this version. Sorry.
