"File contains illegal content" error when attaching some files in HPSM 9.52

Jump to solution

Hello everyone!

Sometimes, HPSM 9.52 doesn't allow attaching some files and it displays the error "File contains illegal content".

I am aware that from HPSM 9.50 onwards, a software called "Tika" is used to check the content of files attached. Unfortunately, this functionality is problematic, because it doesn't allow us to attach files (even .doc files we have added in the Whitelist) that we must use.

How can we disable this content check?

Hello everyone!

False alarm! I just found out that somebody was renaming .html files to .doc, so HPSM was correct about not letting the particular file to upload!  Word was opening these files just fine and only when I opened the file in Notepad++ did I see html tags!
