How to read modified data from excel in Simulate mode

Hi,

At present am able to get response data from excel after creating data driven rule. But when ever I change the data in excel am not able to get updated data directly I need to Restart the simulation in HP SV. Is there any way to get the updated data directly in simulation mode? And if the excel sheet is open during simulation am not getting the proper response.

is there any way to overcome the above issues to read external Excel file during simulation to give response? am using HP service virtualization 3.60.

Please provide suggestions to overcome above problem

You can refresh the data in excel sheet. Right click on rule and then Select refresh data.

Re: How to read modified data from excel in Simulate mode

Hi Ashish,

Thanks for your response but after deploying the project in to HP SV central server we can't refresh the data in data model. The only alternative I found is I need to do Restart simulation. So is there any other way to pick the changed data automatically when ever the changes takes place in Excel sheet. Like Refreshing the rule with some time out value(using java script)
