Scripting: Concatenating multiple fields from a request to a response

This example shows how to concatenate several fields from the request to response using JavaScript and C#.

Javascript:

// name structure from the REQUEST
var name = hpsv.request.memberSearch.name;

// member structure from the RESPONSE
var member = hpsv.response.memberSearchResponse.memberSearchResult['Member[]'][0];

// concatenate REQUEST values to the RESPONSE
member.socialSecurityNumber = name.firstName + name.lastName;

C#:

using HP.SV.CSharp;

namespace HP.SV {
    public class CSharpRule {
        public static void Execute(HpsvRootObject hpsv) {
            // name structure from the REQUEST
            var name = hpsv.Request.memberSearch.name;

            // member structure from the RESPONSE
            var member = hpsv.Response.memberSearchResponse.memberSearchResult.Member[0];

            // concatenate REQUEST values to the RESPONSE
            member.socialSecurityNumber = name.firstName + name.lastName;
        }
    }
}
