Can I copy a project in Issue Manager so that the new project will inherit the configured settings of the original project?

Problem:

Can I copy a project in Issue Manager so that the new project will inherit the configured settings of the original project?

Resolution:

Yes, it is possible to copy an existing project in Issue Manager to a new project so that the new project will inherit the settings of the original project (for example the customised workflows, inboxes, notifications etc). The steps for copying a project are as follows:

  1. Go to "Silk Central | Administration | Projects"
  2. Go to the row which contains the Project you are interested in
  3. From the "Actions" column, select "Copy Project"
  4. Ensure that you select the following check boxes and press Next to completion
