Can you explain the license scheme for the SilkCentral Test Manager CaliberRM license scheme?

Can you explain the license scheme for the SilkCentral Test Manager CaliberRM license scheme?

Problem:

Can you explain the license scheme for the SilkCentral Test Manager CaliberRM license scheme?

Resolution:

The SilkCentral Test Manager integration with CaliberRM has the potential to use many of the licenses available to your CaliberRM server. The details below gives a brief overview of how SilkCentral Test Manager uses CaliberRM licenses within the integration.

  • For each SilkCentral Test Manager Project with an enabled integration with CaliberRM, SilkCentral Test Manager"s will check out a license for that integration.
  • Disabling the said SilkCentral Test Manager Project integration will subsequently release that license held by the active integration.
  • Each action in SilkCentral Test Manager that requires some form of interaction with the CaliberRM server (e.g synchronising requirements ), will also require a license.

On the CaliberRM server if MPX is enabled ( accessible via the Control Panel -> CaliberRM Server )you should find that the licenses checked out by the SilkCentral Test Manager integration are immediately released. When MPX is disabled the SilkCentral Test Manager integration may hold your license for a period of time before releasing it.
