Configuring Issue Manager over SSL
As Silk Central communicates with Issue Manager via Axis web services, configuring Silk Central to run over HTTPS will not enable the Issue Manager to run over IIS also.
If you have followed the instructions in the online help for configuring Silk Central over HTTPS this is easy process to make it work over both.
1. The first step is to export the certificate generated in that step so that you use this throughout your system.
To do this you will want to navigate to the keytool and open a command window in this folder (the JRE folder rather than the jdk),
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin
2. Next, export the certificate:
keytool -export -alias tomcat -file microfocus.com.crt -keystore "C:\users\<adminuser>\.keystore"
3. Now that you have a copy of the .crt file, import this in to the following keystores:
(locations by default, these may be different on your environment.)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\lib\security\cacerts
C:\Program Files (x86)\Silk\Silk Central 15.5\lib\jre\lib\security\cacerts
C:\Program Files (x86)\Silk\Silk Central 15.5\lib\jre64\lib\security\cacerts
keytool -import -file <file> -keystore keystore
The keystore password for all stores is: changeit
4. Restart all your services and everything should work, as expected for both the application and the issue manager over HTTPS.
If you have any issues configuring Issue Manager over HTTPS please log a Support Incident.
