QUESTION
----------------------------------

I have created custom properties in the requirements section of SilkCentral TestManager, can I update these properties using the Office Import Tool?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

No. The Microsoft Word import is limited to the 4 custom properties that exist by default. You can rename them, but you cannot import more than 4 custom properties using the Office Import Tool.

For example, in the below screen shots, 2 new custom properties have been added (Document, test4).

You will only be able to import into the properties entitled Custom1 - Custom4 that exist by default (you can rename them in SCTM).

Below are the styles that you need to assign to the custom properties in your Word document for a successful import into SCTM. For more information on assigning styles please see the Office Import Online Help.

Custom 1 seg_c1

Custom 2 seg_c2

Custom 3 seg_c3

Custom 4 seg_c4
