Problem:

How do you install SilkCentral Test Manager as a separate site in IIS7?

Resolution:

Open the InternetInformation Services Manager from Start | Administrative Tools

1. Right click on the [Sites] node and select "Add Website"

2. Give a site name

3. Specify the physical path to the "C:\Program Files\Silk\SC Test Manager 2010 R2\wwwroot"

4. Specify Host name of your machine and click OK
 
5. Right click on the newly created site and select "Add virtual directory" 

6.  Specify alias "scripts" and physical path to "c:\inetpub\Scripts"

7. Open the location "C:\inetpub\wwwroot" and copy the "web.config" to "C:\Program
Files\Silk\SC Test Manager 2010 R2\wwwroot"
 
8. Open the internet Explorer and specify the http://hostname/silk to access SCTM
**replace the hostname with the name you specified in step 4. above.
