Is it possible to restrict access to default buttons like "Reassign" and "Clone Issue" in SilkCentral Issue Manager while still allowing these users to enter issues?

Problem:

Is it possible to restrict access to default buttons like "Reassign" and "Clone Issue" in SilkCentral Issue Manager while still allowing these users to enter issues?

Resolution:

Currently it is not possible to restrict access to these default buttons, while still allowing the user to enter issues.

You can remove access to the Edit, Reassign, Clone Issue and Copy to Project buttons by the following actions:

  1. Go to ISSUE TRACKING | CONFIGURATION | GROUPS.
  2. Select the ‘Define Group Settings’ button, to configure the group settings.
  3. Leave the options ‘Reassign Issues’ and ‘Enter/Edit Issues’ unchecked.
  4. This will result in the above mentioned buttons being greyed out for users. Admin will still have full use of all buttons.

However, unchecking the ‘Enter/Edit Issues’ option will also mean that the users cannot enter new issues either.

An RFE has been logged to request that a user should be able to enter an issue but not have the workflow buttons activated. To have your details added to this RFE please contact support.
