Return Silk Central Test Manager users and their assigned roles

Return Silk Central Test Manager users and their assigned roles

There is no pre-written report that will return a list of Silk Central Test Manager users and the roles they are assigned to. This information is retrieved from the following tables:

SCC_Roles, SCC_UserGroupRoles and SCC_Roles.

Please note that access to the table "SCC_Users" via Silk Central has been restricted in SCTM 12 and later versions. You will receive the error message "Invalid query: Usage of table 'SCC_Users' prohibited" if you try to access the table in a report.

However you will be able to access these details straight from the database.

The following SQL query can be used to return users and their assigned roles:

SELECT SCC_Users.Login, SCC_Users.FirstName, SCC_Users.LastName, SCC_Roles.RoleName
FROM SCC_Roles LEFT OUTER JOIN
SCC_UserGroupRoles ON SCC_Roles.RoleID_pk = SCC_UserGroupRoles.RoleID_pk_fk
RIGHT OUTER JOIN SCC_Users ON SCC_UserGroupRoles.UserID_pk_fk = SCC_Users.UserID_pk

In versions prior to Silk Central Test Manager 12.0, it is possible to access the 'SCC_Users' table in a report.
