Problem:

Can SilkCentral Test Manager 2011 be installed without Administrator Rights; as the Release Notes and Installation Guide do not stipulate these pre-requisites?

Resolution:

Although the SilkCentral Release Notes and Installation Guides do not specify it; full Administrator Rights are actually required to install SilkCentral Test Manager 2011. These rights are necessary because the installer needs to copy some files in the Operating System directory; and this will not be successful without full Administrator privileges.

This Documentation issue will be addressed with the release of SilkCentral 12; and this requirement will be included in the installation procedures for SilkCentral test Manager, Upload Manager and the Manual Testing Client.
