QUESTION
----------------------------------

What causes the error "Java.lang.RuntimeException: SccAuthentication not initialized yet" when using the Office Import Tool to import data into SilkCentral Test Manager?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

This error message is thrown by the Test Manager server if it has not initialized correctly. The first time you log on, Test Manager performs initialization of web services used by the import tool.

This means that after installing or restarting the Test Manager 8.0 services, a user must log on at least once via the web front-end prior to using the Office Import. tool.
