What is the recommended environment to run SilkCentral Test Manager?

ANSWER
----------------------------------

To run SilkCentral Test Manager, the following environment is recommended

  • Operating Systems: Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2), Windows XP (Service Pack 1), and Windows 2003. Only the Test Manager Execution Server is supported for Windows NT 4.0, and you must have service pack 6 installed. Note that for Windows NT 4.0, SilkTest 7.0 requires Service Pack 6A.

  • Hardware: Pentium 800Mhz processor or higher

  • Memory: 256 Mb of RAM required, 512 Mb recommended

  • Database: SQL Server version 7.0 or higher

  • Hard Disk: at least 200 MB free space

  • Browsers: Internet Explorer version 5.x or higher

  • Requirements writer and reports: MS Word 2000 and above
