When configuring LDAP authentication with SSL why do I get the error, "Communication problem : SSL handshake error"?

Resolution:

ANSWER
----------------------------------
When configuring LDAP authentication, if you enable SSL you may see the following error:
"Communication problem : SSL handshake error. Maybe the certificate of your LDAP server is not trusted."

This error may occur because LDAP support was built to support SSL sites in the chain of root or top-level certificate authorities only. Currently, there is no option for trusting other SSL sites from within SilkCentral. The best solution is to have your certificate in the certificate chain of such a trust-centre.
