QUESTION
----------------------------------

When running a filter that has resulted in a large number of testcases matching a query, why do I get an error: "Maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000"?

ANSWER

Full error message:

This is an Oracle error that is caused by more than 254 columns or expressions having been specified in a list and is usually solved then by removing some of the expressions from the list. In the case of SilkCentral Test Manager, you will have to ensure that the filter returns less then 1000 entries. At the moment this is a restriction on SilkCentral Test Manager 2006 caused by Oracle and the issue has been flagged with our Development team.
