Why am I unable to install the BIRT Reporting Tool?

Problem:  Why am I unable to install the BIRT Reporting Tool?


This issue can arise if:

  • The user account does not have the correct permissions applied.
  • Unsupported or incompatible operating system
  • Firewall or security software preventing download
  • Corrupted Installer

Full Administrator permissions must be applied to the machine to successfully download and install BIRT.  If the machine is using an unsupported operating system then this could prevent the installation of the product.  It is also import to ensure there are no firewall settings or security software which may disrupt or interfere with this installation. 

However if the same issues are noted then the installer may be corrupted.  In this case please contact supportline@microfocus.com for further assistance with the installer.
