Bookmarking without DB IDs

Is it possible to use bookmarks without the DB Ids? We use often Silk bookmarks to reference to a requirement or test. If a project is copied, exported and imported again, all DB items get a new DB Id. Even if a bookmark is used inside a project to point eg. to reference in a requirement description to another requirement, the bookmark has to be corrected.

We had to recover a project with a lot of bookmarks. Therefore we had to imported the project from a DB-backup, afterwards, all bookmarks pointing to the project had to be corrected individually.

Thanks, Thomas

Hi @ThomasS1,

You are right, on project copy or import all new items get a new database ID. The database ID is an unique and immutable property of an artifact and it is not reused in case of creating a copy.

Bookmarks for artifacts are based on database IDs in SC.

Hubert
