Capture screen or video and attach to bug

Hi,

I need to attach the screen I captured from the tool or the video to the bug I'll create not in the test cases execution, because mainly when we are executing the test cases we take the screen shots to be attached to the bugs we will post on JIRA, any ways to do this?

Thanks for the question, I just wanted to clarify exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Based on your description I can see you are capturing a screenshot or video for the execution. The next part is not so clear, are you saying you do not create a bug which is associated to a test case?

Is the goal to have the screenshot or video show as an attachment to the bug in JIRA?

Hi Matthew,

Yes the goal is to have a screenshot or video to be shown as an attachment to the bug in JIRA. The screenshot or video should be taken from inside the execution window tools.

In Silk Central when logging an issue from a test run or execution, if the issue is raised directly from the run it will include links back to test including links to any file attached

This will allow users in JIRA to access the files which are generated as part of run over the Silk Central Web Services.

They can also at this point follow the link to the test case, to get more details on the run as well.

We do not currently add these as attachments to the issue in JIRA but if you log a support incident, we can add an enhancement request for this functionality on your behalf.
