Connecting to Silk Central using VBA macros
Hi,
I am trying to do an automation to import Test plan from excel to Silk Central through Excel VBA.
Is there any Addins or plugins available ?
In HPQC we have OTA COM library through which Excel can communicate HPQC , Similarly any other OTA library's to connect Silk Central from Excel (VBA)?

Hi Vishnuraj1175,
In Silk Central you can import directly from Excel (.xlsx files). It is described here:

Thanks for your quick response.
Please let me know if there is any add-ins available to interact Excel with Silk Central to extract requirement folders details , run SQL queries from Excel , and import and export requirements from Silk Central to Excel.
Regards
Vishnu Raj

Hi Visnu Raj,
There is not an Excel add-in. Silk Central can import requirements from Excel (.xlsx) files via UI.
As described here there are several other possibilities for manipulating requirements in Silk Central.
You can also integrate Silk Central with an external requirement management system, see http://documentation.microfocus.com/help/topic/com.microfocus.sctm.doc/SCTM-9AC25597-EXTERNALRMTOOLS-CON.html?cp=9_0_2_2_0_1
What's the exact use case?
Regards,
Hubert
