Default value on New Issue in JIRA

Jump to solution

Hi -

Can anyone tell me how to change the default value that is populated in a User Picker (single user) dropdown box when raising an issue out of Silk Central into JIRA?

It seems to be populated with a list of all users from JIRA - but with no way to manipulate/control the default value that is displayed (or even default to BLANK - to force a specific entry - or the current user).

Thanks.

Hi StuartNaven,

Which version of Silk Central do you use?

The default value of the drop-down cannot be manipulated. The default value, selected in the drop-down, is the first entry in the list of users that comes in from JIRA.

Btw, the functionality that JIRA fields of type "User Picker (Single User)" and "User Picker (Multi User)" are rendered as drop-downs in Silk Central's New Issue dialog, has been removed in later Silk Central versions. They are now rendered as normal text-fields.
The reason for this change was that not all users were retrieved via the JIRA REST API. So the list of users diplayed in the drop-downs was not a complete list of users in some cases.

Regards
Michael
