How to Amend Test Steps for a currently running Test

Jump to solution

Hi

I am looking for some instructions/best practice steps to follow on how to add/amend/delete test steps for a manual test this is currently being ran.

The test case is being ran but the tester has noticed some missing steps/missing expected results that they want to add while running the test. It appears that once script is assigned into the manual execution planner and changes made the test needs to be removed and then reassigned.

Thanks Matt

Hi Matt,

When any changes are made to the details of a manual test while it is being run, you can update the information for the tester without removing and adding the test.

You can do this by opening the test in the Manual Testing Window where you run the test, and clicking on the Synchronize Test Run arrow button.

This will then update the details of the tests and steps, and this will save you having to remove and add the tests again.

I hope this helps.

If you have any other questions or need any other help, please just let us know.

Many Thanks,

Conor
